Mission:

The Builders of Peace is a national youth organization founded to meet the needs of the youth in a divided society by improving interethnic dialogue and empowerment of youth to take an active role in the building of the civil society and increase participation of young people in decision making

processes in society. Our activities are done in the spirit of inter ethnic dialogue and promotion of peace ,equal rights and participation of all young people regardless of their race, ethnical, religious or other affiliations with peace building and conflict resolution being one of our main focuses.

Vision:

The Builders of Peace vision for the peaceful and fully developed democratic society is to build a strong bond between the youth and support by encouraging inter-ethnic dialogue the idea of equal rights and opportunities among young people regardless of their race, ethnical, religious or other affiliations.

Aim and objectives:

• Participation in creation and development of civil society in Bosnia and Herzegovina by using experiences of democratically developed countries and taking in account specifics of the political situation in the country.
• Preparing the youth for active participation in the building of democratic society trough inter-ethnic dialogue.
• Training youth for peaceful conflict resolution skills
• Promotion of student rights and responsibilities among university students.
• Promotion of volunteer and humanitarian work.
• Inclusion of youth with fewer opportunities in the society.

Target groups:

University and high school students.

Organizational structure:

The head of office is in Mostar with a field office in Sarajevo.

The Builders of peace has a flat structure with six founders as working members and two persons in the field office.

A key element of our organizations structure is our Volunteer Resource Centre (VRC)
